SMIT (VUB), the research group for Studies in Media, Innovation and Technology will hold a colloquium on 24th of September on Platform Power and TV Markets.
The age of platforms is upon us. The QHHQ is proud to host a range of top experts from the US and EU to discuss the rise of platforms and the need for regulation.
Bob Kahn, co-inventor of the TCP/IP protocol and one of the ‘Fathers of the Internet’ will talk about the emergence of Internet Platforms, while Karen Donders and Tom Evens present their new book on platform power in TV markets.
After this, Matt Stoller from the American Open Markets Institute presents the case for platform regulation, while Peter Quaghebeur, CEO of SBS, defends the
