The mission of the icity.brussels program is to improve ICT innovation of regional companies by 20% by 2020. One operational axis is to create new platforms to achieve that goal. This platform is SmartCampus. SmartCampus is an integrated network dedicated to smart sensors and Internet of Things (IoT).
Its ambition is to improve dataflow and data exchange among current and future applications and to create new synergies between researchers, students, decision makers and businesses.
Available on the ULB and VUB campuses since January 2020, it will soon cover areas between and around the two campuses. This is why SmartCampus is playing the role of a Smart City beta site for Brussels.
